GALLERY --> Miscellaneous ride images

This section consists of pictures that I've taken on my bike rides around the South Downs, that haven't been used for the main gallery of the rides themselves.

The images will open in a new browser, rather than in the same way that the other galleries on the site do; because this section just contains random images, I haven't cropped / re-sized them as I do with the others. They will take longer to appear in your browser because of this, too.

The first 9 images were taken on the Brighton --> Lewes --> Brighton bike ride, and didn't survive the cull of images that weren't absolutely necessary to explain the route.

1. This is my Kona team replica
riding top. Slightly bright!

2. This is about a third of the bike
track at Preston Park. I stopped off
here on the way to Bear Road at the
start of the Brighton --> Lewes -->
Brighton ride. I sometimes ride here
for a few laps in my lunch hour during
the Summer.

3. Was supposed to show the view
of Brighton from the top of Bear
Road. Didn't get much of it in though.

4. This looks roughly North from
just past the mast in the early
stages of the Brighton --> Lewes --> Brighton ride.

5. A bit further on, and we're looking
roughly south.

6. Another image of the track
between Lewes and Ditchling Beacon. This didn't really add too much to the gallery section of that ride, just
another "follow the track"!

7. This is a view roughly West from
just past the Ditchling Beacon car
park. Unfortunately, the cars stand
out a bit too much - haven't mastered the different modes of my camera that
can prevent this.

8. This is the view from the top of
the Three Cornered Copse, which
leads from near the top of Dyke Road
down to Hove Park. I've
mastered the art of maximising
the amount of off-road that my
rides in the area use ; ) At the bottom
of the field, there is a cool descent down
a path which goes between the trees.

9. Another picture of my Dawg,
after this ride. You can tell the
difference in quality between this
and the one taken on my mobile
in the gallery section.

10. The GT Avalanche 1.0 disk of
my main riding buddy.. some better
views of the bike coming soon..

11. A random view of the Downs
taken somewhere between Devils'
Dyke and Chanctonbury Ring.. The Brighton side of the Adur, I think..

12. Another random shot of the
Downs, not sure where this one
was from, but I like the effect the
light made..
