This is the last stretch of road, leading up to Truleigh Hill. It was getting on for 17:00 by this time, so dark has definately started to descend; we were racing against the sun going down; a race we lost miserably.
Out on the hills, with no street lighting, it's surprising exactly how long it takes to get pitch black. It was about 17:15 by the time this happened, which was quite lucky for us considering we were expecting it to have happened by about 16:30 at the latest!
