Leave plenty of space between yourself and your riding buddies on this hill, not only to allow reaction time if they wipe out, but so you can see the direction of the path in front of you.
Riding this path reminds me a bit of the end of the original Star Wars film, where Luke Skywalker and co. are flying along inside the trench on the Death Star - you have to keep your steering very accurate, because if your front wheel starts to wander up the side of a rut, it's pretty hard to keep control! Not something I'd advise trying the morning after the night before..
