Left too long between pictures at this point, but that's not the end of the world. Carry on past Chanctonbury Ring, and aftre a couple hundred yards, over a cattle grid. Follow the chalk path down. The first time the path forks, you can go either way.. we normally choose different sides, and race to see who can get back on to the main path first ; )
When the path next forks, take the right side. Continue down, till you get to a junction of 5 bridleways (including the one you were just on). Take the bridleway to your left, and follow it down a hill, up a shorter hill, and along in the direction of a farm. When you get to a path on your right, follow it up to the road, and turn right. A few hundred yards along the road is another bridleway on your left - take this.
This is a view up the path; obviously it wasn't the best time to have taken a picture, as at this point, the sun was on the other side of the trees.
